Your Account
Every customer at The Wheel House is identified by their email address. It’s important for many reasons that we be able to contact you, and we strongly recommend supplying a phone number as well as a backup to email. For example, you’ll typically have firings due to you that will outlast your visit and we’ll be able to let you know when they’re ready. We also contact you to let you know about upcoming sessions and notices from your instructors, etc.
While we send you notices for specific purposes related to the classes and other engagements you have with us, you’ll only receive our general news and information updates if you sign up for them here. We highly recommend receiving these newsletters because they’ll inspire you with new ideas and opportunities which will add to the fun of your ceramics journey.
To log in, you’ll supply that email address and we’ll send a login code and button to that address.
Use the code if you are logging into a different system than where you got the email.
Use the button if you’re logging in on the same system as where you’re reading that email.
Once logged in, you’ll stay logged in on that same device+browser for up to 30 days.
Account Balance
To facilitate changing classes, gifting credits, and generally making it easier to do business, every customer has a basic account balance. This means credits when you drop or we cancel a class go to this account, and you can then use that balance to book another class, purchase clay, attend a workshop, etc.
When someone claims a gift card, the full amount immediately goes onto their active account. That makes the value usable for any Wheel House purchase any time. When someone gifts credit to a friend or family member, the credit goes directly to that person’s own account, ready to use immediately for any subsequent purchase.
The rule is, we always require a 0 or credit balance to use any of our services, which just means that when you check in to the studio for a class, event, or to exercise your membership, you may be asked to approve a payment if you have a balance due.
Soon you’ll be able to see your account balance any time online on the My Account page.
Self-service
With the new system, customers can easily do the following for themselves:
Buy Gift Credits for friends and family
From the Purchases page, select or find the Gift Cards section and click Give a Gift. You can specify any amount you like and include a personalized message to be included with the invitation to claim it.
Using gift credits couldn’t be easier. Gifts place studio credit directly on the receiver’s own account, identified by their email address. Studio credit is automatically applied at checkout and can be used for anything we sell except Studio Memberships.
Book a class
Browse the Experiences catalog by choosing it from the Main menu.
Click on any Class to learn more about it. On the class page, each scheduled time that class is offered will be listed under the main image. Click the [ Book this time ] button to get your seat. You’ll need to provide payment information if you haven’t already.
Signing up Parties and Minors
You can book seats for your friends and family as well! Simply add them to your booking before you check out. The best way to search for them in our is by their email address. That’s important because we’ll need to contact them and you with session reminders and important notices like cancellations or reschedules.
If you would like to book a minor along with you, you are welcome to set them up as a customer if you wish (with their own email, etc), or you can use a modified form of your own email address instead. To do that, just add a plus sign and their first name to the part of your email address before the @ sign. For example:
With my email address as Guy@TheWheelHouseNH.com, I could sign up my minor child “Billy” with Guy+Billy@TheWheelHouseNH.com.
This will let you complete your booking, while most email providers will also deliver emails to such addresses to you on their behalf. This is helpful because then you can sign in as them, even if they don’t have an email address of their own.
We appreciate if you include at least the child’s first name when you sign them up so we know what to call them during their class!
Whenever you sign up others in a group, they may sign in using their email address to review and manage their experience much as you would. If someone in your party drops the class, the buyer always gets the credit back to their own account.
Similarly if the buyer of a class can’t make it but others in the party are still planning to attend, that’s OK. As in the other case, if the buyer drops the class any credit goes to the buyer, and the others may hold their seats and attend normally. The buyer has the option to choose whether they’d like to cancel for their whole party or only themselves, but once the buyer drops, they’re no longer in the loop for messages and such intended for the class.
Classes may each have their own cancellation policies. Be sure to review and accept the policy as you book your class.
Find, Review, or Drop a class you’re enrolled in
Start with the Experiences view by choosing it from the Main menu.
Then move the slider at the top of the page to “Mine”. This will then show you only those classes which you’ve booked or begun to book.
Choose the class you want to review or modify.
Within that class you can review the session schedule, messages to the class, or drop the class if you like.
When you drop a class the buyer will receive credit according to the cancellation schedule and this may be less than the full amount paid.
Reschedule to another class
To reschedule your participation, simply drop the class you’re in, then book the class you’d rather be in. If you do it in that order, the credit you receive for the class you dropped will be applied to the cost of booking the new class.
Update your Contact info
We recommend all customers review their contact info early on after the transition to our new system because the old system wasn’t great at organizing customer information, and now you’ll have the chance to get it right once and for all.
Go to “My Account” from the Main or Account menu, the scroll down to the Contact info card. Then click the Update button to change or update your card information.
Always remember your account is identified by your email address. If you find you have two or more accounts in our system because you have two or more emails on file with us, contact support@thewheelhousenh.com and ask for help getting those consolidated.
Add or update your Payment info
When you add your payment info, our card processor, Stripe, will securely store that information specifically for your Wheel House account so you can use it easily for any future purchases with us.
Go to “My Account” from the Main or Account menu, and scroll down to the Payment method card. Then click the Manage in Stripe button to change or update your card information.
Order clay, other supplies, and services
It’s common at the end of a class for participants to request their works be finished or fired for them for later pickup. Use the app to make such a service request. You can also use the same procedure to purchase clay, tools, or supplies.
Go to the Purchases menu, then select products and services from the lower part of the page to add them to the list at the top of the page. When you’ve assembled your whole request, Commit your purchase if you’d like the staff to be able to fulfill the services and provide the products without further intervention on your part.
You can use this same process to create an advance order for clay or other supplies. Just complete your purchase request in advance, then next time you’re in the studio ask the staff to pull up your order, they’ll make sure we have everything you’ve requested, and then approve your purchase and satisfy your request.
Soon you’ll be able to make appointment requests through this path as well. Stay tuned!
